In regard to summer vaulting opportunities heres some more:
ReplyDelete"Hey everyone.
I'm the one Becca mentioned in her email to you all about potential summer practices at Kings HS. I wanted to touch base because so far I have only heard back from about a few people regarding summer practice times but based on the responses, and my work schedule here are 2 potential practice times:
Thursday's from 3-5pm
Every other Saturday from 10am-noon.
Please write back and let me know if this would work for you (especially Thursday). If you have any questions I'm happy to discuss things with you. You can check out my website, email or call me. The info is below.
Thanks,
Kate Conwell

"The Tacoma Freedom Fair Beach Vault will be Saturday, July 4, 2009. The Alki Swashbuckler Beach Vault will be Saturday, July 11, 2009.
This year we will have two pits at Alki! This should be a lot of fun and will help the entire day go faster and provide a better competition environment for everyone (bars going 6" at a time instead of 8" or 9"). Unfortunately, we just don't have enough space at Tacoma for two pits. I raised the price a bit, but if the fields get too big I will close registration, so make sure to sign up early.
The cost this year will be $35 for Tacoma, $30 for Alki, or $55 for both, if you register by June 8th.
After June 8th the cost will be $40 for Tacoma, $35 for Alki, or $70 for both.
There is also a $1 PayPal fee. If you want to mail a check, let me know and I will send you the address.
We will have t-shirts again. I am hoping to get a sponsor to donate some technical tees, but we'll have some cool shirts either way.
All of the elite athletes who traveled up from Eugene LOVED IT last year. They all told me that Tacoma and Alki were two of the most fun meets they have ever been to. USAs is in Eugene again, so it looks like several athletes will be able to come up.
If you run a business and are interested in being a sponsor at either or both events, or if you just want to be a personal sponsor, let me know! All of the operating expenses of the meets are covered by the entry fees, and any sponsorship money will go 100% into prize money and travel expenses for the elites.
